The Town of Summerville garbage pick-up services are provided for residents according to the schedule via a contract with Carolina Waste.

Dorchester County Property & Tax Services
- Assessor’s Office – The Assessor’s Office is responsible for the assignment of values to all real estate properties and mobile homes; not the tax amounts. Here you will find the 4% Legal Residence Application.
- Auditor’s Office – The Auditor’s Office oversees homestead exemptions, appeals on personal property, the assessment of motor vehicles, watercraft (boats, motors, jet ski’s) aircraft and business personal property.
- Delinquent Tax – The Delinquent Tax office investigates and collects delinquent real property taxes, notifies owners of taxes owed and seizes property for non-payment.
- Treasurer – The Treasurer’s Office collects, invests and disburses all county funds including taxes, vehicle registration fees, solid waste and stormwater fees, and miscellaneous department revenue and receipts.
