Utilities

  • Summerville Commissioner of Public Works (CPW)
    The Summerville CPW is charged with the full control and management of the water and wastewater systems and who you contact for service or emergencies related to water and wastewater systems.
  • Dominion Energy
    Whether you’re a new or existing customer, Dominion Energy is who you contact. They have tools and resources to help you manage your electric or natural gas service.

Garbage & Recycling

Town of Summerville
The Town of Summerville garbage pick-up services are provided for residents according to the schedule via a contract with Carolina Waste.

Dorchester County Property & Tax Services

  • Assessor’s Office – The Assessor’s Office is responsible for the assignment of values to all real estate properties and mobile homes; not the tax amounts. Here you will find the 4% Legal Residence Application.
  • Auditor’s Office – The Auditor’s Office oversees homestead exemptions, appeals on personal property, the assessment of motor vehicles, watercraft (boats, motors, jet ski’s) aircraft and business personal property.
  • Delinquent Tax – The Delinquent Tax office investigates and collects delinquent real property taxes, notifies owners of taxes owed and seizes property for non-payment.
  • Treasurer – The Treasurer’s Office collects, invests and disburses all county funds including taxes, vehicle registration fees, solid waste and stormwater fees, and miscellaneous department revenue and receipts.
